We wanted to create a waterfront community that offered all of the best things that the Hamptons has to offer. We wanted to attract second home-buyers who appreciate quality and luxury in every detail. We wanted to give our residents access to the beautiful beaches and waters of Hampton Bays, and have it all at their doorstep. We wanted to design and build unique town-homes where each unit was optimized to offer a comfortable living environment with breathtaking views, and encourage outdoor living and entertaining. We wanted to do this in a way that allowed our residents to maximize their enjoyment of the time they spend in the Hamptons, and minimize the hassles involved with actually getting to a home in the Hamptons and then having to maintain it once they arrive.
We started with an architect’s vision, and built from there. We designed a town-home community comprised of four cedar-shingled buildings, each with their own individual floor plans and unique architectural features. We maximized layouts and sight lines, to give each home a personalized feel, and we provided multiple generous outdoor and roof decks to provide the best views of Shinnecock Bay and the ocean. We utilized high-end construction methods, and selected every element and detail by virtue of its design, quality, and longevity. Our design team created interiors that feature elegant details normally found in Hamptons estate homes, from 4-inch solid white oak wood floors, to custom wood paneling and moldings, to the beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. We used a highly-talented local landscape designer to provide ample green space areas, and create privacy with mature trees. And one of the features that really sets Ponquogue Point apart is our 300 feet of dock space, so that our residents can pull their boat right up and dock it on the property. We also have storage areas for kayaks and standup paddleboards, so you can get out on Shinnecock Bay any way you want to. This is Hamptons waterfront living!
Ponquogue Point is built on land in an area that was formerly known as Ponquogue in the hamlet of Good Ground, until the collection of small hamlets just west of the Shinnecock inlet was combined in 1922 to create what we now know as Hampton Bays. It backs up to the waters of Shinnecock Bay, and is walking distance to pristine ocean beaches. Our community was designed by Bernard Zyscovich, an award-winning architect whose inspiration for the design was the traditional cedar shingle style of houses that the Hamptons is so well known for, but with a slightly more modern edge. The design really captures the feeling of a small coastal community, and the layout of the building feels intimate and private, yet welcoming at the same time The details found throughout the interiors of the homes are being overseen by Mabley Handler Interior Design, the prominent Hamptons design firm well known for their ability to capture the Hamptons design aesthetic. They designed Ponquogue Point’s model homes, and will be available to walk all home-buyers through the process of selecting each home’s design details and customizing their home at Ponquogue Point.
